Trick or Treat Practice

Hey, we might’ve just endured one of the HOTTEST, MOST HUMID weeks like ever ever ever in the whole universe, but here in this house, we are pining for FALL!  Cinnamon candles, jeans, gourds, back to school, and of course, Halloween! 

Cousins Ty, Marlo, and Gunnar got a little head start on Trick or Treating…

Look at that little Batman (Batgirl?) too!  The dress peeking out underneath saves her from looking totally like a boy, ha!

Messing around in the office, I’m sure the cowboy was the one encouraging it!

You’d give these 2 cuties some candy right?!?

And, hmm, what’s this I came across??  Grandpa thought he’d like to do some “trick or treating” too, he channels Handy Manny quite well, huh?!

And I promise (I think) I will pen several more posts BEFORE the actual Halloween Trick or Treating!  Ha!

Ding Ding

Friday evening, after dinner, we decided to go down to Sawyer Point to check out the park and do some running around.  It turned out to be a lot of fun because we got to play on a few playgrounds, look at the river, and just explore.  Clearly we didn’t have enough fun Friday because Saturday morning we found ourselves down there AGAIN!  We played around again and stumbled upon this little rental place that had these “bikes”.  Wow.  Wow.  SO MUCH FUN.  The kids LOVED it.  Tom and I had to pedal, I steered (you'd be crazy if you thought I’d give Tom the reigns on this thing!), and Ty had the important job of reaching around and dinging the bell when we’d come upon other bikers or runners :)  Marlo just sat pretty and enjoyed the view, throwing quite the fit when it was time to return the bike.  Shaking her head forcefully NO, she held on tight as I tried to get her out :(  We will definitely be making another trip down there, let’s just hope we have another stretch of good weather to make it that much more enjoyable :)
