Just barely keeping up!

What seems like a million years ago, Marlo the Daisy Scout, definitely earned her cookie badge by selling, organizing, and delivering 175 boxes of delicious Girl Scout Cookies!

Bird Watching is a constant at our home.  Bo even knows several bird names and can identify them correctly!

It took a few turns on the carousel, but she FINALLY got to ride the Bald Eagle AND the Hummingbird!

Mia was just fine and dandy with a big, fat Manatee.  She's our Buddha.

In my blogging absence, Mia got her license!  My, how time flies!

Go ahead, do a head count here...

While baby Knox was being born, we had a lot of fun cousin time.  Gunnar and Scout spent two whole nights at our house and I still field questions almost daily, such as, "When can we do that again?!"
On this particular morning they all requested French Toast...wish GRANTED :) It was a delicious Pain Perdu recipe that they all gobbled up.

Plenty of outside playtime...

Marlo might be perpetually on bird watch, but our little Bo Bo is on a different mission.  He's out to rid the world (at least our back yard) of pesky squirrels, who tend to scatter and use up all of our bird seed.  He does even refer to them as "squirrels", they are "no no!"

Bo also likes to get in a *bit* of mischief here and there...

It just so happened that during Spring Break the CAC's Thursday Free Art program was about...BIRDS!  They brought in the Cincinnati Zoo to share several different types of birds.  Guess who was front and center.  She asked more questions than the whole museum attendance that day.

As if that outing weren't enough for that day, we hopped right on over from the CAC to The Carew Tower.  I'm still alive.

There is never a dull moment with Buddha...

As warmer days sneak up on us, we are ready and waiting with 'mallows and chocolate and grahams.

Bo had to make sure "little" Zeke ate his dinner, you know...since Zeke can't do it for himself, right Bo?!

Meanwhile, Bo thinks he's OLD.

Preschool Art Show for Mia

Mia has also started soccer.  Though, it could be rugby or croquet or landscaping team- she would have no idea and would be doing the same exact things either way.  She doesn't cry or hurt people and smiles the whole time, so we are content.

Occasionally I feel brave enough to take these two out in actual public settings...it's a contact sport in its own right.

"It's a Breakfast Donut Party!!!" Congregating with friends for a delicious (and of course not healthy) before-school breakfast.

Ty continues to excel at baseball, and LOVES it.

Our back yard continues to expand with activities for the kids.  Here they are on the slack line...each of them can balance across both ways.
Sometimes I find myself on little mid-morning dates with this handsome fella while the others are at school.  It makes me think about those days long ago when it was just Ty and I...wow.

Somebody got his first REAL haircut.

Another first in this family, Ty had his First Holy Communion! What a blessed day with family, first at Mass, then at the park for some laid back eating, and finally watching some baseball (Ty and Gunnar are on the same team).

It's what she does...

Mother's Day was just perfect.  We spent our morning down at Sawyer Point riding the BIG BIKE and checking out the new Smale Park and just hanging out.

It's always my intention to keep up with the blog, but it usually ends up in BIG LONG posts such as this one...Thanks for staying in touch with us :)

So, yeah, winter happened.

We seemed to have received our whole winter season in the span of a week! No school for a week and LOTS of staying home and making do. It's been really great, actually.
Today was the most perfect snow (about 4 or 5" of it as we woke up and still going strong as I type this), making sledding and snowball making and snowman crafting so easy and enjoyable. Here is our morning in pictures...

We are starting to have piles of snow taller than our children!

Igloo making was finally possible. Ty was so giddy about this...

Marlo got right to work on making her very own snowman. She really worked hard at rolling up huge snowballs all on her own.

An ill-placed carrot nose. It could have been worse.

Tire swings aren't just for summer months!

And here's just about the most darling sight ever. While I was out in the wintry wonderland with the older three, Tom was inside with BoBo. Every once in a while I would hear a little tap or knocking...and there he'd be...do you see him!?

And here's the vantage point from inside...

Who knows, we may even suit back up and head out again after naps. But boy oh boy, this couch feels good...
