I think it is so funny when blog posts will start out by saying, “Oh, be prepared for a photo dump and a LOT of pictures…” and then there are maybe 10-15 pictures! Well, let me say…this REALLY is a LOT of pictures.
We actually went to DISNEY the week after school let out for Ty, and while we did have to battle some serious crowds, a little heat, a million scooters, some rain, and my (preggo) fatigue we did manage to eke out about a million smiles from our whole family…and here are the MILLION pictures to prove it!
We flew in kind of late on Monday, so Tuesday morning super bright and early (7:20!) we had a character breakfast scheduled right in our hotel.
Chef Mickey’s:
Ty looks pretty impressed huh??
Mia’s very first character greeting…
Most of our pictures with all three children in them Mia would refuse to look at the camera, as she could not take her eyes off whichever character or scenery we were posing them in front of!
Hey there Goofy! Give me five!
Donald, one of Mia’s favorites!
And there she is, MINNIE!
One of our days at Magic Kingdom we had a slight detour. While we had the best intentions of getting to the park early (about 8:45am), the Monorail had other plans for us. We ended up getting stuck on it for nearly an hour, something had apparently broken down and we were just stuck. While some people decided to get off and take a different route to get to the park, we stayed put (might as well, sitting and cool air inside there!). While speaking with a monorail driver-in-training, he gave a nod and a wink and said we might want to stop at guest services in the park and express our disappointment. We did stop in (and were given some Fast Passes, which was nice), but we also happened to be in just the right place at the right time and were second in line to meet the lovely Snow White!
Seeing these pictures just makes me smile so big again, just watching Marlo’s enthusiasm and sweet facial expressions is just precious.
(I’m pretty sure Marlo was explaining her beautiful Hello Kitty to Snow White.)
Then Miss Mia got the courage to introduce herself…
She presented Snow White with our Photo Pass card, which we had to promptly get back!
Of course we flew Dumbo…Daddy and his girls and Ty and Mama!
Hey there Marzi!
We had another Character Meal at the Crystal Palace (which also has a buffet, and I just shudder at the word buffet now…and will for probably quite some time!). This time all the characters from the Hundred Acre Wood joined us…
Taking a break to goof off…
Poor Mia, this was the most she had been held against her will…in our arms, in line, in the stroller, in high chairs, etc…
We were able to hit the pool at our place a few times, and with those Puddle Jumper floatation devices, the kids had a blast going everywhere (even down the slide!)…
Tommy was able to have all three kids out in the water all by himself (Mia was flying solo in her Wonder Woman Jet and the kids just kicked around)…while I lounged took pictures and otherwise supervised from afar
Right behind the pool was the BEST splash park. Mia was a BIG fan of this feature!
Whoopsie Daisy!
And that just about wraps up our Vacation to Disney World 2013…
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!
These were only the photos I took with my Big Girl camera, there are still about 175 photos from mine and Tommy’s phones that we took Next time you visit our home, we will show you them!
