Is summer here to stay?

Ty has picked up a new skill.

FUNNY FACES!

On a beautiful Saturday night we went to a Reds game and had Brian, Haley, Gunnar and Scout come along too :)

We also had a fun, but cold, fieldtrip to Krohn Conservatory for the Butterfly Show…

Ty, however, was ready and willing to hold the little critters.

Okay, is warmer/decent weather really here to stay this time?  Evidenced by today’s weather, I’d say a resounding yes.  We just returned from Ty’s make-up soccer game where it was approximately 115 degrees on the turf and we are covered in sunscreen.  We better not have to break out the winter coats and hats and mittens again (as we did at Ty’s school picnic this past Wednesday!).

Time to play catch up! 

While Ty is in school you might wonder what Marlo and I do to pass the time?  Well…we act like silly girls that’s what we do :)

(Make sure to check out the video in the post after this one, it’s a hoot.  It’s a 5 minute long video, but it is super funny!)

While cleaning out the cars one evening we let the kids go ahead and get in the cars and have fun pushing buttons, etc.

 

That looks good for the car.  Not.  Glad we turned this car in before Ty wrecked the transmission, ha!

As many of you know we decided to get involved with the March of Dimes event in Cincinnati this year.  We raised money for an amazing cause (preventing premature birth, which is something we obviously have some experience with…) and gathered a wonderful crowd to walk with us.

Grandpa snatched some suckers from Frisch’s the night before and they REALLY came in handy during the walk!

Easter with the Holterman Family was NOT ruined at all by the torrential downpour of rain, no way!  The egg hunt held just as much excitement and fun inside in the basement!
