(* Be sure to check out the other new post, I think it's right before this one...a video of Marlo)
My sweet girl hanging out on her favorite step…
We had a grill out here at our house on Sunday and WOW, Miss Marlo was just enamored with her Uncle D! Holding his hand to go everywhere, and wanting to be picked up and hugged :)
Beaver and Funny Faces!
It’s pretty well-known that Ty is quite the tool and vacuum connoisseur, however as of late he has been very into his cars. Specifically, those Flinstone-style, self-propelled ones. We picked up another one from a garage sale…
…and it’s a ‘57 Chevy that we’re allowing inside the house (though, at the first red gash I see on the walls, or ding in the hardwood floor I think I will banish it outside!). GG found out for us a few days later that this car can go for a pretty penny, as they’re limited edition or collectors items, ha!
Check out this little lady, sporting her Nike gear and her brother’s hat :)
Messing around in Daddy’s office…
Getting way too close to the television…
Being a GOOF!…
Me and my pretty girl (blowing spit bubbles of course!)
I won’t even tell you how many tries it took just to get THESE photos. It’s nearly impossible to get everyone to look at camera at once, and then to smile nicely!
Memorial Day we heard about a “parade” nearby in Mt. Washington. We showed up about 20 minutes early, and scouted out a perfect spot right along Beechmont Ave. We were waiting and waiting and waiting to see if the police would come to shut down the lanes of traffic. Nothing. Finally at probably 10:29:50, two cop cars came and blocked off about the equivalent of two blocks of Beechmont. The “parade” started at 10:30 and was over at approximately 10:30:45. We did our duty and clapped for the veterans that were marching holding the flags, but then behind them was ONE boy scout troop and behind them was a group of about 3 families pushing their kids in strollers. THAT WAS IT! Ty was able to scoop up some candy in the street, and got a free waterbottle, so he was happy!
Have to show respect for our Veterans…clap clap clap!
Later on that afternoon we went to Carmen’s Graduation Party
Tickling the ivories with Aunt Alex….
Nana took Ty by the hand and led him out back to the….
TRAMPOLINE!
Doing his “Gunnar” noise!
Bounce bounce bounce!
Ty was getting the biggest kick out of being the one to so greatly affect Marlo’s balance (or lack thereof) on the trampoline! He would stalk behind her as she walked with wobbly legs and at just the right moment he’d start furiously jumping to get her to fall! Such loving behavior from a good big brother :)
After he succeeded, he would literally fall over in hysterics! He loved it.
But then, like a gentleman, he’d help her back up so he could start the game over again!
Aunt Alex doing some double jumping with Ty!
“Comin’ at ‘cha!”
Doing some BUTT JUMPS, with Alex providing the driving force!
I love this kid so much. There is NEVER a dull moment! NEVER!
You awake Ty???
Of course you are, you stinker!
Someone tossed a water bottle onto the trampoline and we asked Ty if he could jump next to it and get it to pop in the air…
After he was able to do that, he felt a surge of Hulk POWER!
Hulk it up Ty!!!!
Then, Tuesday, we decided to visit the water park at Woodland Mound for the first time this year…
Marlo was ready to “jump” right into the little fountains, but approached the chilly water with hesitancy…
Walking right through the high sprinkler!
Taking turns stomping on the spouts…
And little Miss Marlo was making a cute little friend :)
Once there was a lull in activity and an opening on this turtle, Ty snatched that seat up and stayed perched here for quite some time!
For some reason, my “mommy brain” was not firing correctly, and I changed Ty into clean, dry clothes and THEN bought him an ice cream cone. Logic now tells me I should have waited till after the mess to change him! DUH!
First, he was not too happy about getting drippy melted ice cream down his forearms and in between his fingers…
But then I think the special feel good properties of the chocolate kicked in…
and I mean, they REALLY kicked in!
Sweetie got to have her own cone too, how could I deny her??
