Saturday we celebrated Marlo’s 2nd Birthday from breakfast through cake after dinner :)

Yummy pancakes, shaped like a “2” and an “M” for the Birthday Girl, and of course big bro got his own creations…

I just started talking to Marlo this past week about how old she is (“twooooooooo”) and then I started to show her how to create that number with her fingers.  She shirks the conventional index and middle finger representation and instead does the hang-ten.  Hey, it’s two fingers right?!

Later on in the evening the guests started coming :)

First Grandpa and GG gave her some gifts…

“Open…please!”

 

Immediately Ty took over some of the new toys.  Of course we embrace the concept of “share” here in this household!  (I’m laughing now thinking about if the same behavior will be reciprocated in two weeks when we celebrate this big dude’s big number-four!)

Ty has recently been inflicted with a minor condition.  Lately he’s had this benign growth permanently attached to his frontal lobe.  It glows.  It flashes.  It is constantly on his head!
