Ty has recently started playing Basketball, and this is quite a funny development because aside from shooting around on our FisherPrice hoop down in the basement, he doesn’t really have much experience with basketball :)
Look how HAPPY he is :)
Leading up to Halloween, the kids’ school held a Decorate a Pumpkin with Dad night (because of the timing and a quick dinner before, I tagged along and served as the photographer and possibly the peacekeeper as well!)
Look at that masterpiece…
But wait! It’s not complete without a……
CAPE!
Marlo hard at work with Daddy right there helping…
Having a quick cookie treat :)
For months we had planned on going to Disney On Ice, with great tickets/seats. The Friday of the event, Ty was sick that morning and we decided he would not be able to go :( So, with the help of GG and Grandpa (thank you thank you!) Tommy and I took Marlo on a little date all by ourselves. She was in HEAVEN!
Unfortunately, I was so crazed from dealing with Ty that I did not charge my camera, so these two pictures were the only ones I caught with my camera. (I have a few other on my cell phone, but they’re not super quality.)
“Thanks Daddy for my $12 Ariel cup!”
Look at that happy girl, posing from our seats-which were amazing and front and center :)
Everyone was fine and well for Halloween and we were so thankful for that. Here I am modeling my “costume” (which Tommy insisted on!)
The kids got to dress up for school Halloween morning, and Marlo was SO excited to turn the corner and see her teacher, Mrs. Mumper, dressed as…
Since the rain cleared up, they were able to do their costume parade around the school. So adorable…
Here’s Marlo, um, I mean BATGIRL, coming out first. She caught a glimpse of me and got so excited. Such a sweet heart :)
I got a markedly different response from my macho little Batman!
He walked right by…
And with a straight face, just kept on going…I personally think he is a bit young for the whole “You annoy me, Mom!” thing!
Ty was very excited about this BIG Batman (the only male teacher at the school!)
And here he is posing with his teacher Mrs. Ricciardi.
Finally, Halloween night came and at 5:59 PM the kids were READY to go! Before heading out, we did a few cute pics out front. (But not before scarfing down a leftover dinner and watching half of Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown-which I think might be a fun new tradition to start because after we got home from trick or treating, the kids finished watching the show. Perfect timing!)
I remembered to sneak in for a pic
And I’m sure I’ll kick myself for posting this later on…but goodness would you look at that BELLY! Yikes.
The kids had a great time Trick or Treating just on our street (that’s all I could walk) and enjoyed getting the candy, but interestingly enough the parts they enjoyed the most were checking out the other kids’ costumes and also handing out candy back at home! And how could we forget just how many times Marlo explained, “I’m BATGIRL!” Every person she saw that evening heard her state that very proudly :)
And now that Halloween is over, we are in “baby mode”, ready to see this new little girl pretty soon in the next month or so!
