Here’s me and my sweet girl :)
Here’s the two crazies, enjoying a Mum-Mum snack on the step. It’s so funny watching Marlo replicate everything her big bro does…
And then this little stinker tries to overtake the camera! Actually, that reminds me I really need to unload the pictures from his child-sized camera, and do an entire post on THAT compilation of craziness!
We’ve got a budding tom-boy on our hands, and that’s just fine with me! I’m a dirt-in-the-skirt kinda’ gal myself, so go for it Marlo! She LOVES watching Daddy play basketball and then she tries to do the exact same thing-including dribbling (which is laying the ball on the ground and smacking it!) and shooting. It’s much more impressive to watch her work her ball handling skills on the child-sized hoop in the basement play room :)
Watch out Harlem Globetrotters! Here’s her wicked dribbling!!
THIS is how she shoots! Can you just tell how HARD she’s trying!
“She shoots she scores!”
And then, she gets a little distracted by something a little more interesting…MULCH! Lovely.
Meanwhile, Mr. Stroller Head (he has been quite the comedian lately, calling everyone “___________head”, based on whatever silly thing he inserts), saying “Thank you thank you SPANK you” with his GG and Grandpa, or loudly proclaiming the consistency of his dirty diap…………OH NEVERMIND ABOUT THAT ONE! I’ll spare you the disgusting details! Here he is taking part in his new Extreme Sport-Extreme Stroller Pushing. Just about every night, we walk/bike/stroll/power wheel/run “down to Bo’s” (his neighbor friend at the end of the street). This night he just so happened to want to run his stroller down there…crashing it and flipping it all around the whole way…
This looks like a cry, but it wasn’t…he was REALLY getting into this crazy stroller pushing!
Parenting 101: Put a BIB on the Baby!
(This is basic stuff here, people, and apparently I fail miserably…I decided it might be okay to let this little messy girl enjoy some blueberries sans a bib….but oh, they’re not just regular old blueberries, they’re FREEZE DRIED blueberries! Notice the destruction of a perfectly good shirt…ha!)
I love her little smirk and head tilt here, as if she’s saying “Hmmmm?”
Like I said earlier, Marlo is SO into following her brother around and miming everything he does…this is not exclusive of his food and drink either! Ty asked for a bottle of water one day, and Marlo requested one as well (with her grunts and pointing, etc!) so I let them go to town. The mini bottles have spouts that would prevent them from spilling too much. They proceeded to walk circles around the kitchen island about 40 billion times. They were being SO COOL!
When Marlo does find the time to steal away and just be on her own, she enjoys going to the playroom to grab a book and sitting down on the step to “read” it. It is probably one of the most precious things I’ve seen, EVER. She is also very fond of sitting in someone’s lap to read a book, and will dutifully go and fetch another book as soon as you tell her, and quickly nestle back into your lap…
And before you break into a choral “Awwwwwww” at her sweetness, why don’t you just take a look at this series of photos…

d. B is the ONLY answer for ANY question regarding Ty!
This past weekend we went to a friend’s 3rd Birthday Party…
Marlo proved that she is indeed going to be a dirt-in-the-skirt kinda gal, and I’m totally cool with that :)
Ty found some thrill on the tire swing!
Marlo and Marli having a little chat at the table :)
(Don’t you love Marlo’s action figure??? It was an Army party though!)
…with Emma and Reid.
Finally, Tom got to experience first-hand the difficulty of posing for a picture with this squigly worm!
Cake time with Madi
Enjoying a goody bag sucker with Lucy and Birthday Boy Zach :)
“Red Power!!!!!” (They kept saying that while they were eating their red suckers…)
Best Buds Camren, Ty and Zach:
Having a blast on the swing :)
Enjoy your week! (And perhaps if today’s naps extend just a bit longer I can get another post up here with Ty’s pictures from his camera! Stay tuned!)
