Here’s what I get to look at every day…on my hands and knees, cleaning up the daily sludge from my two crazy kiddos! Although I can’t complain much because I have a furry, four-legged vacuum cleaner that doesn’t require bags being changed and doesn’t need to be plugged in :)
Here’s some of the causes of the DREADED floor mess!
Jello for the first time…Marlo was EXTREMELY cautious! It jiggled, it wouldn’t come out…
Then there’s this crazy boy, always the jokster…
I can’t tell you what came over me, but at the last minute I decided to take the kids to King’s Island for the first time…ALONE! Well, actually I wasn’t alone because our good friends the Maxams came too, but I’m sure Tommy will be jealous I came without him! I do have to say though, King’s Island is now Snoopy themed-well the kids area is- and Marlo has her daddy wrapped so tightly around her finger that if he came he would burn up his credit cards buying her every little Snoopy trinket she’d pick up! (More on that shortly…)
Riding the choo choo trains…
Buckled up for a spin in the yellow jeep :)
Ty and Marlo went together in another car ride, and GOSH what a weird feeling watching Marlo go steering off on her own! She had her big, strong, (non-potty trained, mind you!) older brother to keep her safe and sound though!
(P.S. Check out which car they were just randomly put into!! Linus!!)
Look at my little INDEPENDENT babies! Gosh, time better start slowing down-I can’t bear witnessing these leaps in autonomy! Tear…sniffsniff…
He’s such a great big brother, watching out for his little sis :)
Then it was off to the BuMpEr CaRs! Fun fun. Well, except for the fact that the boys never “bumped”. Actually Ty did one straight line, got stuck against another car and stayed there for pretty much the duration of the ride, and Trent stayed in the same square of the floor-he was like the angel with one wing, going around and around and around and around :)
The swings! Secretly I wanted to tell the kids, “Hey just stay here for a minute, chill out in the stroller, Mommy wants to ride the swings!” :) Ha ha ha.
Marlo has a burgeoning love affair with Snoopy, and so I purposely waited till the end of our trip to visit the Peanuts-themed shop! Oh boy, she was in heaven…not knowing which stuffed toy to grab first!
“Mommy, dear Mommy, I’ve found the one I want…”
“Here let. Me. Just……PULL…..'”
“Heave HO!”
“Success! I’m gonna try and run out of this darn store with this Snoopy! Shh, don’t tell my Mama!”
Whew, what a day! The sun was out and SO MUCH fun was had. So much in fact that naps are extending way beyond normal limits!
I have a feeling there are more Kings Island trips in our future :)
