It turns out that we definitely got our money’s worth with the children’s costumes this year. Marlo’s was fresh from Disney World (you can imagine the pricetag on it too!) and Ty’s was ordered on the internet around the beginning of summer, ha! He had been staring at it in its package for EVER, and was so excited to wear it to 3 different celebrations!
The first occasion was the Halloween Party for the Mother’s group I’m in.
Getting all dolled up!
“Oh me, oh my, I’m MINNIE MOUSE!”
Games, treats, prizes, balloons, food, TREATS, friends, crafts, and maybe some treats…
Not only does Fall mean Halloween and dressing up, it’s also DEER season…right in our front (and back) yard!
Marlo LOVES the deer, especially when she can see them right out the front windows…
Do you see all 5 of them? This was right before a big BUCK came and scared them off.
And just yesterday while home alone with Marlo (Ty at school) I saw something moving around in our backyard, just beyond the fence. I’m pretty sure it’s the biggest one I’ve seen so far…
Finally, Halloween night…
Wait a minute, who else decided to be Buzz too???
Marlo Minnie Mouse and her trick or treat bag (the only part of her costume I made by myself!)
Grandpa’s just the one to go to for glove help, getting all of her tiny fingers in there is quite a task!
Ty was SO ready to get out there and start knockin’ on doors.
Consider me the Trick-or-Treat Taxi, I huffed it up those hills with 50lbs. of blanket, 10lbs. of costume, over 50lbs. of children, and a growing candy stash!
Marlo in action, at her very first house! She did so well :)
Ty was so looking forward to the cotton candy house, and he actually ate some this year. Marlo had NO CLUE what it was and couldn’t be convinced to eat it :)
Ty is already asking when Trick or Treat is happening again…oh geez!
(FYI, Ty also got to wear his costume to school, wings and all! Unfortunately I have no pics of that day.)
