Just when it seems as if Spring has sprung, the kids run outside and yell, “It SNOOOWWWWWED!”
This is the closest they got to getting “snow” this year, as apparently Old Man Winter skipped over Ohio! (We will save the sleds for next winter, but sadly the brand new, tags-still-attached snow boots will most likely be much too small next year!)
Mia got to enjoy the “snow” too!
With this lovely weather, I decided it was “Zoo time”, and within the span of two weeks we went three times. Each time we went we spent the majority of our time checking out one single animal. Marlo’s very favorite animal. Can you guess it?
The weather extremes are getting quite annoying, and this particular Saturday was especially disappointing. It was the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Ault Park that my mom’s group has every year. So despite the chilly, windy and cloudy weather we wrapped the kiddos up and headed to the park…
Having some snacks before the big hunt! (*And do me a favor, take notice of Marlo’s shy little head tilt…it will make a reappearance SEVERAL times in this post…)
“Look Daddy!”
(I have no clue when we took this picture, but from the looks of Mia’s warmed up cheeks and tiny dress, it was on a warmer, more comfortable day!)
The day before Easter we thought it would be a good time to do the usual Easter Egg dyeing…
(My little goofball Ty Guy)
Those of you who remember…Ty had the “cheeseball smile” and Marlo has the “head tilt”…I told you it was coming!
Marlo was so into this! I just love her little profile in this picture!
Mia helped tremendously. By just sitting there looking cute
Ty liked dyeing his skin as well…
Tommy had to do his own egg…
My pretend artsy fartsy shot!
Oh Marlo!
Easter morning the kids woke up eager to find the hiding spot where the Easter Bunny put their baskets..
See them?
“Jackpot!”
Superman, Batman and Green Lantern underwear! (She could care less that they’re boys!)
After getting Marlo all prettied up in her Easter Sunday dress…she was two steps ahead of me and was laying out her “outfit” for after church.
Easter Celebration with the Holterman Family
Having fun with Aunt Mary
Egg Hunt time!
A few minutes into the hunt Ty started showing the universal signs of…um…needing to use the, uh, facilities…
Aunt Mary and Aunt Connie were the best hunting assistants!
The basket was getting full of heavy eggs and Marlo insisted on carrying the basket no matter what!
Head Tilt, Easter Style!
She was lifting that thing with all her might!
See that Ty egg??
Aunt Bobbie and Marlo stylin’ in their shiny shoes. Aunt Bobbie is probably a little jealous that her shoes don’t light up like Marlo’s!
Time to check out the LOOT!
Mommy and the little Easter Bunny
Thanks Easter Bunnies Aunt Mary and Aunt Connie, we had a blast with the egg hunt and the goodies are still being played with at this very minute
Thanks Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Gary for hosting a wonderful Easter Celebration and Dinner!
