We know that we have a smart girl on our hands, just look at those old Harry Potter Halloween glasses specs!
We found out that Disney was coming to US Bank Arena, so we decided Ty might just enjoy the Handy Manny part just the teeniest tiniest bit…
Pooh, Little Einsteins, and of course Mickey Mouse and Friends…
It’s Handy Manny!!!!! And his tools!!!! We had quite the excited boy on our hands :)
The whole gang singing goodbye!
Here is our sweet boy Saturday morning before our Easter Egg Hunt at the park. Daddy prepared breakfast for the children all on his own (Mommy was out running!)…Notice the pj’s-the pervading theme in this household, are you not surprised, is ALL THINGS TOOLS!
We headed out to Ault Park for a very windy, and a tad chilly, Easter Egg Eggstravaganza (I couldn’t help myself!). There was a petting zoo, snacks (which may or may not have included cookies, doughnuts, etc.!), and of course the Easter egg hunt. We were constantly looking over our shoulders to see what clouds were rolling in, and the wind was quite strong. Even though we felt a few drops right before the egg hunt started, we stayed dry, but had to bolt pretty quickly after the eggs were in the baskets because it was starting to get chilly!
Here’s Marlo checking out the adorable ducklings. She was seriously distraught that she could not just pick them up and squeeze them like any of her other stuffed animals at home. She whimpered and whined the whole time while looking at them because she just couldn’t get a handful!
Shortly after this the non-age-appropriate-discipline-technique-knower petting zoo lady, seriously YELLED at Marlo for squeezing the duckling. She looked at Marlo with a stern face and stated much too loudly and with a tad of anger, “NO! We do not squeeze them, NO!” My own anger shot off the charts, and then Marlo’s bottom lip pouted out so far I thought I might shed a few tears myself. Then her tears started flowing, and I whisked her off to hug and cuddle her. Did that lady actually think a 1 year old understands anything about gentle touch, or about being reprimanded???? I think not. I just about gave that lady a time-out!!!
A few days ago we also had a very enjoyable outing to the Zoo with our great friends, the Culpeppers.
In preparation for the Heart Mini Marathon Race, we went to the race expo the day before, which touted itself as being very “child friendly”. And boy, did it live up to that! Jumpers, ball pits, obstacle courses, snacks, kids race, goodie bags, and other such fun…
Last night, on the warmest day of this Spring so far we were able to utilize that wonderful timed function on the camera and somehow snag a pretty darn good picture (pretty darn good=both kids somewhat looking at the camera!)…
And what blog post is complete without a video of our sweet (naked!) baby girl saying some pretty cute things :) Enjoy!
