So it is no surprise that Miss Marlo LOVES her big brother, and we all know the saying, "Immitation is the most sincere form of flattery." It might also not come as a surprise that she has all but snubbed her nose at all the pink, frill and girl-inspired toys I've generously supplied her with. Instead she is following in her brother's footsteps (on much vacuumed carpet I might add!) and declaring her calling in life as a Bob Vila wannabe. See
here for another musing on this family's apparent obesession with all things home improvement!
This is no joke, one night while cleaning up dinner the kids were playing alone/together in the playroom and we could see them the entire time...well, we look over and here is what we saw...

Marlo had found the mini (REAL!) phillips screwdriver and was attempting to deconstruct every hinge on the door, just like someone else I know of!

She showed much persistence too, and really worked hard at those fine motor skills of placing the tip of the screwdriver into the head of the screw...and just look at that stance, that's MY favorite :)

Proud much?

Surveying another hinge that she can work at...

Gotta throw in one of those cheesy smiles too, the little punk!

While this looks similar to someone flipping the "bird", it's just her way of saying, "ha ha, look what I have! I know it's my brother's tool, but I got it, ha ha ha!" Come to think of it, she might as well just have been "flipping the bird"!
(Notice the tool set splayed out in the background!)

In a more "girly" moment, here she is surrounded by all the animated/talking/singing Easter-themed plush animals...

And being a PUNK again :)

One last demonstration of her power and capabilities of becoming a tool-woman, so much for gender stereotypes huh :)
