Wow, has the countdown to Christmas really begun?? We waste no time getting the tree up immediately after Thanksgiving. I mean we’re practically still digesting turkey and we’re trekking to Burger Farm to pluck their tallest & most grand tree on the lot!
The favorite decoration this year are the Princess-themed candy canes…
Would you just look at this beauty? This is our view from the great room…I just love this site. And the smell. And the glow. 100% Christmas for me!
This past Saturday we had Breakfast with Santa with my Mom’s group. Aside from it being one of the most gorgeous days weather-wise (a few inches of snow), the kids were SUPER excited.
Ty showed his excitement by writing a letter to Santa. He did such a good job writing all the letters of Santa’s name
Marlo showed her excitement by climbing atop the table, which is her activity of choice lately.
Once at the beautiful country club the kids were instantly excited by all the other children running around. It was hard to snap a still photo of them!
Checking out the fire…
This series of pictures of Marlo doesn’t exactly portray the level of activity she was displaying…she was lurching forward and backward into the chair, somehow I was able to capture a few smiles before she was escaping again!
Ty and his (school) buddy Mikey. Mikey’s mom and I just happen to be in the same Mom’s group, which is really nice.
Listening to Polar Express
And look WHO showed up! He gave everyone their very own bell just like in the story.
Craft time…
On Sunday we had Family Dinner at our house and Ty got to hold his new favorite in this world, his new cousin Scout Paisley! He is absolutely smitten with her. He talks about her all day long. If it’s possible for a toddler to have “baby fever”, Ty is overcome with it, ha!
Just look at how he looks at her :)
Marlo, meanwhile, was completely content being on the table yet again :)
Snack time! Just scroll down to watch the marvel that is toddler-ice-cream-eating…
“Hmmmm, do I want to use the spoon or no?”
“What do I do if it’s all melty? I certainly can’t use the spoon then…”
“Here, this will work…”
On Monday St. Nick came, and in his typical fashion he left ornaments for the children…
It’s Toy Story-themed ornaments! Would you expect anything else for our children?? Of course not!
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!
